Vanitas – March 2013
38 pages, Tabloid 14″ x 11″ Wire-O binding
A light hearted look at modern vanity through the borrowed visual tools of the Vanitas movement.
“ The idea behind the Vanitas project was to take a look at modern vanity through the borrowed visual tools of the artistic Vanitas. Predominantly a 17th century ‘fad’ in painting, the Vanitas were painted by artists to remind their viewers of their limited stay on this earth and thereby cause them to reflect upon the vanity of various of their pastimes which they indulged in whilst here. From food and travel, knowledge, learning, even culture and (ironically) the arts. ”
Sorry that these are not free in print versions, magcloud printing & delivery costs apply ( there’s no mark-up). However, there’s a free downloadable.
